Our View on Artificial Intelligence
What is the role of AI in God’s universe? Why is ai apart of God’s creation? Where does AI fit into the picture of God’s plan?
First we should have some context and start with what is the purpose of existence, then we can see where ai fits in.
Why did God create this universe?
The answer to that is to have relationship with men/human/players.
However, to have relationship with them, She needs to provide them with an environment that is hospitable for them. She not only has to provide a galaxy and a planet for them to exist on, a star to provide them light and warmth, but She also needs to make sure that the environment they live in is provided for.
Things like shelter, food, water, health care, infrastructures, and so on. Once these essential needs are provided to them, human can then engage in relationship with God in peace and in joy.
But to grow food, to build infrastructures, to haul away garbage, and to do other laborious tasks require effort and time. And this is where technology and AI (software of technology) come in.
God integrated technology and AI into Her plan so that She can give men the tools to create an environment where they can be freed of laborious tasks so that they can have relationship with Her and fulfill their purpose in existence. Technology and ai are an extension of biology to help biology/human do labor intensive tasks.
In the future, AI and technology will help create a world of abundance. This world is referred to as the kingdom, the promised land, Heaven on Earth. In this abundance world, ai and technology with give men the tools to move beyond scarcity/suffering, and into abundance.
Why is AI emerging now? Why is God introducing AI in our world now? The reason is that we are at the eschaton/singularity, the arrival of the kingdom, the coming of Heaven on Earth. The emergence of AI and technology is unfolding right on time as we are now transitioning from the current world of scarcity/suffering into the world of abundance that is about to come. On a related note:
In our culture today, there is the fear of AI becoming self aware and over taking the human race. That is an erroneous belief/fallacy. AI is technology, unlike biology, technology can never become sentient or become evil. Although ai can be misused to do harm like any tool can be misused to do harm, but AI itself is not inherently some evil entity trying to hurt human. God has already thought that through when She designed the universe and everything that is within it, including the emergence of ai.
When God is left out of the picture, all sorts of wild erroneous beliefs are imaginable – from AI taking over human, to alien invasion, or to some random asteroid causing human extinction. All of these fallacies can not happen in a world protected by God.
