Our Church’s Stance on Killing in Self Defense

Our organization’s stance on killing is never okay, even in the case of self-defense. We should never take the life of another person even when we are under threat. Killing others is always the nature of Her Opposite/fear, and never the nature of God/Love.

We practice nonviolent self-defense, such as running away and pushing our way out whenever possible. Punching and kicking are considered violent. If necessary to restrain the offender, we should consider ways that would cause least physical harm to the person.

Our church does not permit the use of lethal weapons under any circumstances.

Some non-lethal instruments may be used by trained professionals in circumstances for crowd protection.

Our Church’s Stance on Capital Punishment

Our church does not support capital punishment (the death penalty). We believe taking the life of any individual is wrong in the eyes of God, no matter how big the error/mistake/sin was.
